Lauren is the primary phone contact. She addresses callers’ initial inquiries and designs the organization’s contract for service. Lauren is responsible for assisting startup or existing companies with program licensure through their state and accreditation through ACHC, CHAP or JCAHO for Medicare participation and Medicaid program enrollment. She performs client specific market research and financial analyses, operational assessments, completes statistical reports and budgets as well as certificate of need applications. Lauren is also responsible for processing all of D.K. Harris Consulting billing and invoicing.

Deborah is the primary contact for agencies seeking home health, hospice and/or private duty accreditation through ACHC, CHAP or JCAHO. She evaluates the agency’s current policies and procedures—creating and/or revising them to ensure compliance with the required state, federal and accrediting body standards. Deborah then serves as the agency’s liaison/primary point of contact, coordinating with the accrediting body throughout the entire process from initial submission and on-site survey, to the plan of correction and final accreditation. If needed, she will go on location for office setup and to train agency staff in streamlining its organizational processes/procedures to ensure an efficient, quality operation.

Kimberley assists startup home health, hospice and/or private duty companies with securing program licensure through their state by completing the required documentation (application forms, policies and procedures). She also assists agencies with submitting the application to the state and federal governments for Medicare certification. She also provides client support by mystery shopping in client’s geographic areas for rates or pertinent data relative to marketing studies and then creating specific data reports.

Maureen Miller offers clients over 35 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with specialized certification in hospice and palliative care nursing. As a former Hospice and Home Care Support Services Team Manager of 38 aides and 2 staff schedulers, Maureen brings to the D.K. Harris Consulting team supervisory and clinical staff development skills, with an ability to create and present staff inservices tailored to client needs. Beyond her expertise in hospice organizational development, process improvement and productivity, Maureen possesses proficiency in team leadership, regulatory compliance, certification and accreditation, plus proven effectiveness in hiring, orienting, mentoring and retaining staff.

Judy is our go-to person for assisting clients with marketing activities and strategy including creating rack cards/brochures and general writing, editing and proofreading issues. Winner of the 2005 Pennsylvania Hospice Network Journalism Award, she brings to D.K. Harris Consulting over 40 years of journalistic experience in creating company newsletters, marketing pieces, and fundraising strategies—of which 20 years have been concentrated in the hospice and home health care industry.
